[info] - Summer Challenge Paekche 4 : Haldir / Faramir Genre: Death fic prompt .
Rating: R
Word Count: 559 words.
Summary: the last time the lovers meet.
A / N: This story is a oneshot for pairing Faramir / Haldir. It is also the third and final part of three stories, although they are independent of each other, but I, inspired by the prompt "injury / accident," the community [info] 120_minuten ; have written. They are the main theme "Accident / chance / fate" held together I post under the other two stories. Here is the first part accident and the second part chance you have not read in order to understand this story. It just makes it a little easier. The story takes place way in the movie! Verse. Thanks [info] kari77 for the wonderful story banner!
Disclaimer: Lord of the Rings is the property of JRR Tolkien and his heirs as well as New Line Production.
Beta: [info] zamboni12 I really this helped to make the story presentable. Again, many thanks. * Hugs *

III. Fate

Faramir heard the screams of his men and the clatter of swords. The roar of the orcs rang in his ears and adrenaline rushing through his body. Screaming, he raised his sword and joined. It buried itself deep in hot flesh and dark blood on the blade as he pulled it from the ore. From all over they rushed at him. They were not less but appeared to been spat directly from Saruman's throat to be. Osgiliath would fall, it had never been any doubt. The only thing he could do was to take as many of the beasts to their deaths, as he could. This was the last thing he thought consciously before him a sword pierced from behind.

Haldir coat flickered in the wind that blew across the battlefield. A call echoed over to him.

"retreat"!

He turned and looked at Aragorn. This looked back, called out to him that he should go into the safety of Helm's Deep. But before Haldir had the chance he heard the roar of the orcs behind him and felt the ax split his skull.

*

It was as though through a fog. He could not see the hand before his eyes as he slowly groped forward.

"Hello?" The moment in which the call left his lips, he was already swallowed by the fog.

"Hello?" He repeated, as he did another step forward. The fog lifted at once and he stood in a clearing. Soft moss was under his feet and from somewhere sunlight seemed to throw her golden patterns on the blades of grass. He looked up but saw nothing except the whitish gray, through which he had just moved over yet. When he turned his eyes from the sky, he saw him, Haldir.

He stood before him and looked exactly the way Faramir remembered him.

"Haldir, where I am, what ...?"

But Haldir interrupted him. With noiseless steps he went up to him and stopped. His look was serious when he examined him. Then he raised his hand and placed it on Faramir's cheek. This fell silent and looked at the Elf.

"I'm here to tell me adopt, "Haldir said suddenly, and smiled sadly.

Faramir did not understand.

"goodbye?" He asked. "But why? What's going on? "

Haldir still had the smile that Faramir was the last time that night and saw in the cave which had burned in his memory. It was a smile full of warmth, that enveloped him and gently laid his soul.

Haldir did not answer, but stroked his cheek. His hand went lower and remained at Faramir's chest lie. The palm rested where his heart was beating.

Faramir Haldir put his hand on and for a moment he felt, to feel both their hearts as they fought together.

Haldir turned his palm inwards, allowing them to fold their fingers together.

"Live, Faramir, Haldir continued and pressed his fingers," Promise me that you're happy. "

Faramir Haldir looked at him and realized that this here, where he always was, a goodbye meant forever.

By tränenverschleierte His eyes looked at him and tried his hand a smile.

"Farewell, my friend," he said sadly and closed his eyes before he whispered hoarsely. "Farewell, my beloved"
